We are thrilled to welcome you to the Museum for Art in Wood! Access to our exhibitions and permanent collection is free of charge to all visitors.

I’m combining Weeks 4 and 5 into one post—these past two weeks have been full-on studio time, and I’ve been deep into developing my flipbook machine project

Aside from one final outing to the Wharton Esherick Museum, we’ve mostly been back at the studio, fully immersed in our work.

the energy in the studio picked up. I took a metal lathe class, which introduced me to new ways of shaping and connecting materials—opening up fresh directions for my prototypes.

Around me, everyone’s been in motion: sanding, gluing, turning, testing. The space is loud, lively, and full of momentum.

We also gathered as a group to decide on the title of our final exhibition. It was a collaborative and thoughtful conversation—each of us coming with different perspectives but working toward a shared vision. (Title announcement soon!)

With fewer distractions, these past two weeks have been about pushing ideas forward and making things real. There’s a strong focus in the air now, and it’s exciting to see the work evolve from early sketches into physical forms.
